There are a few legitimate companies that are searching for individuals to write quality content & information for their websites. And these positions are in HUGE demand. Why? Because the internet is the "information highway" and it is important that webmasters continue to develop more and more information for their websites and blogs.
Some businesses will post their data entry or writing jobs on an online job directory site such as Jobs.com.
But you will find that the companies that post for these data entry / writing jobs will require some experience. Now if you have writing experience then I encourage you to apply for a few of these jobs and get one. However if you don't have any writing experience then you will find it a little harder to land one of these data entry / writing positions.
But wait... don't give up yet! There is still one other option and it is actually the route taken by most when it comes to working from home as a data entry typist or writer. This option is to become a Freelance writer.
By becoming a freelance writer you have many more options than by working for someone else. You can choose when you want to work, how you want to work, and who you want to work for. You can set your own price and as you get more experience you can demand higher prices.
As a freelance writer you will have the opportunity to be apart of a recession proof industry. Because the Internet is only growing and it will continually need quality content to feed it.
Being a freelance writer is the legitimate way of becoming an online data entry specialist. It is the closest that you can come to honestly typing from home and making money. The online difference is that a freelance writer requires you to be creative and research the topics that you choose to write about.
